About Pack 286
The pack 286 program runs from September to May, with a lighter activities schedule during the summer months.
Meetings and activities
Our pack meets every Thursday from 7:00pm to 8:00 at Lampeter United Methodist Church. Whole pack meetings are held once a month and the other three weeks are Den meetings where the scouts meet by rank. Learn more about cub scouts here.

How to Join
Try us out, first. Visit a meeting, and get a look at the fun things our Scouts are doing. Use our contact form if you have any specific questions, or special requests. A parent or adult partner must be with the boys during meetings and activities.
What are the initial costs?

- The yearly registration fee is approximately $50. If you want a subscription to Boys’ Life, it is slightly more. This is due by the end of September.
- Initial uniform and patches cost approximately $52. This includes shirt, patches, hat, and handbook. All subsequent awards, and neckerchiefs are provided at the pack’s expense. Official pants are not required, but look-alikes are easy to find, and preferred over jeans. Official pants zip apart to become shorts. More info on the uniform is here.
